What problems do other manufacturers have?

Admittedly, there are, or have been, a lot of different mudguards for the Yamaha Aerox and co. But all of these fenders have fundamental problems!

Almost all mudguards from other manufacturers are attached to a small plastic holder with the screw from the exhaust. With each of these fenders, this holder breaks after a very short time. We have already seen several hundred such defective fenders ourselves.

Also, they all share another big problem: they all have an unprotected gap between the tires and the engine. So all the dirt and all the water inevitably splashes against your carburetor and, in the worst case, into your open sports air filter.

There was previously only one manufacturer who could solve the above problems. But it hasn't been in production for a long time and these mudguards weren't exactly cheap either. But there was a fundamental problem here too: there was no cut-out for the shock absorber. As a result, the mudguard was always crooked and rubbed on the strut.

We have the solution!

Through our many years of experience and many destroyed mudguards, we have collected all these negative aspects and thought about solutions for them. Our RPG mudguard was developed with the latest laser scanning technology to fit 100%. It closes all gaps to the engine down to the last column. There is no thin plastic holder, but a large vertical surface that lies completely straight on the engine block and is fixed with two screws.

A generous recess was added for the spring strut so that nothing can rest and rub here.

The material

We only use high-quality ABS plastic for our trim parts, which is also used in the automotive industry for bumpers and other trim parts. The ABS has a beautiful black color and the UV protection not only protects against fading, but also gives the black a nice shiny surface.

The thickness of the material was chosen to be extra thin because such a fender does not have to withstand a lot of force. It only has to withstand the high vibrations of a two-stroke engine. Our mudguard is therefore extremely flexible and adapts to all external influences. 

The Holder

The mounting bracket that connects our fender to the engine is laser cut from lightweight aluminum. The elongated holes help with the assembly, because the position of the mudguard can be easily adjusted. The metal sheets are brushed, which gives them a noble surface and the stamped RPG logo is bold and subtle at the same time.
